WSJ: Kuwait and Bahrain allegedly conducted secret airstrikes on targets in Iran

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) has alleged that Kuwait and Bahrain conducted secret airstrikes against certain targets inside Iran in the first days of July. According to the newspaper's report, which cites sources familiar with the matter, the strikes were in retaliation for attacks by the Tehran administration.
The report claims that the two Gulf countries, which host US bases, carried out operations against several locations in Iran using fighter jets. Sources alleged that the targets included military facilities as well as drone and missile depots.
The WSJ report also noted that requests for comment sent to the Kuwaiti and Bahraini administrations went unanswered. There has been no official confirmation from the parties regarding these allegations.
Some Arab countries in the Gulf have recently been issuing statements claiming that their air defense systems have intercepted attacks originating from Iran. The allegations involving Kuwait and Bahrain have emerged at a time when mutual security concerns in the region are on the rise.
