Yemen launches missile at Israel

As the Houthis launched a missile attack on Israel, the airspace at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv was closed.

Following the missile attack, sirens were heard in Israel. There is currently no information regarding whether the missiles hit their targets. The Houthis' attacks on Israel continue to intensify from time to time.

In recent months, Israel had carried out airstrikes on Sana'a International Airport in the Yemeni capital of Sana'a and the coastal city of Hodeidah.

The US also carried out attacks against the Houthis for approximately 1.5 months; US President Donald Trump stated that the Houthis would not attack ships and ordered the cessation of the attacks.

The Houthis had carried out attacks on ships linked to Israel in the vicinity of the Gulf of Aden.

The following statement was made by the Israeli Army:

A missile was fired from Yemen toward the center of the country. Following a launch from Yemen, alarms were activated in many parts of the country. It was reported that shrapnel fell in central parts of Israel.

Israel's Channel 12 television stated, "The airspace at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv was closed after a missile launch from Yemen was detected."
