Zakharova blames US and Ukraine for terrorist attack: 'They fell into their own rusty trap'

12PUNTO FOREIGN NEWS

Publishing an article on the terrorist attack and ISIS, Maria Zakharova claimed that ISIS is directed by the US. Zakharova's claim came after Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev's remarks that all those responsible for the attack would be found and 'punished' and that the 'harshest response' would be given.

In the article published in the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper, Zakharova wrote that the US had 'trapped itself' and that there was 'no way out.' In the article, Zakharova states:

"...The terrorist attacks carried out by the Kiev regime and the mass information and political support for Zelensky's most horrific actions - all of this directly and indirectly shows that the current residents of the White House are involved in sponsoring Ukrainian terrorism. This is also the reason for their daily 'making up excuses' for their wards in Kiev (referring to CIA headquarters) and trying to cover themselves, along with the Zelensky regime they created, by using the ISIS bogeyman."

Zakharova adds, "And now they have fallen into their own rusty trap."

Continuing the article, Zakharova argues that Al-Qaeda was established by the US to defeat the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, and claims that after the invasion of Iraq, the US laid the foundations for ISIS through Al-Qaeda connections.

'TERRORIST INTERNATIONAL'

Defining ISIS as a 'terrorist international,' Zakharova states in the remainder of her article that ISIS was stopped in Syria thanks to Russia, and that the US did not aim to fight against ISIS, but rather to prolong the war to increase the number of casualties and the cost of the war for Syria and Russia.

Describing the connection between ISIS and the US, Zakharova notes the following:

"By a strange coincidence, ISIS has made adjustments to its plans in recent years and is currently carrying out attacks mainly against the enemies of the US: the Taliban in Afghanistan, the Iranians, the legitimate authorities of Syria, and us. These are just the things that are visible on the surface, which can be compiled from world news."

Zakharova concludes her article with the claim that the US is 'reshaping the world order through the hands of terrorists by sowing seeds of controlled chaos.'

These accusations by Zakharova came after statements by Putin and Medvedev that 'all those responsible' for the attack and the 'forces behind them' would be found and punished.
