Zelensky announces amount of territory captured in Kursk region
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated, "Ukraine has captured more than 1,250 square kilometers of territory in Russia's Kursk region."
The Ukrainian army has been continuing its advance in Russia's Kursk region since August 6. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made statements regarding the ongoing operation in the Kursk region.
Zelensky stated that Ukrainian forces have captured more than 1,250 square kilometers of territory in the Kursk region. Expressing that naive and illusory concepts such as so-called red lines regarding Russia have crumbled somewhere near Sudzha, which is under Ukrainian control, Zelensky added that Ukrainian troops have captured a total of 92 settlements.
Citing the need to protect settlements along the Ukrainian border, Zelensky said, "If our partners lift the existing restrictions on the use of weapons on Russian territory, we would not need to physically enter the Kursk region."
