Zelenskyy announces: Ceasefire has ended

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that attacks on Russian oil refineries will resume. Speaking to the Financial Times, Zelenskyy stated that the restrictions on operations against energy facilities have been lifted, saying, "The block is gone. We are done."

Zelenskyy's statement came after US President Donald Trump called for a ceasefire in the energy sector. The Ukrainian leader had previously announced on his X account that they had halted attacks on Russian oil refineries and other energy infrastructure for two days following this call.

However, Zelenskyy noted that tensions in relations with Washington persist. According to the report, the Ukrainian leader criticized the US administration's open stance toward commercial agreements with Moscow and Trump's approach to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

PATRIOT CONDITION

Zelenskyy said that if the cessation of attacks on energy infrastructure were to be reconsidered, it would only be possible if more US-made Patriot air defense interceptor missiles were provided to Ukraine. The Ukrainian leader described this request as an acceptable "minimum" condition.

Zelenskyy also alleged that Ukrainian forces have been deprived of US early warning notifications against ballistic missiles and that Elon Musk's Starlink satellite communication service has been slowed down across the country. He stated that this situation has disrupted operations on the front line and medium-range attacks on Russian military facilities.

The Ukrainian leader reported that US officials told their Ukrainian military counterparts, "If you don't stop, we will block intelligence." Stating that this was later presented to Kyiv as a technical glitch, Zelenskyy said regarding the problems with Starlink, "It was not a technical problem, it was a matter of will."

It was reported that Trump had previously harshly criticized Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil infrastructure and called for Zelenskyy's removal from office. It was noted that this outburst came one day after the announcement of a diesel supply agreement with Russia, which aimed to reduce pressure on rising fuel prices.
