Zelenskyy gives timeline for the end of the Ukraine-Russia war
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a statement to journalists in the capital Kyiv, evaluated efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war through diplomatic channels.
Stating that he held a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Zelenskyy noted that he informed Macron about the trilateral negotiations held in Abu Dhabi and requested that pressure be applied on Russia.
‘WE CAN END IT BY THE SUMMER MONTHS’
Zelenskyy argued that for the war to be ended, the US must exert pressure on Russia.
The Ukrainian leader said, "If not only the Ukrainian side but also the aggressor side (Russia) is willing, we can end the war by the summer months."
Expressing that US President Donald Trump has the capacity to force Russia to end the war, Zelenskyy assessed, "In my opinion, Trump can force Putin into some kind of compromise."
