Zelenskyy makes comparison that will anger Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke at the World Economic Forum (WEF) held in Davos, Switzerland. Addressing the Russia-Ukraine War, Zelenskyy stated that even if the clashes on the front lines were to stop, Russia would continue its occupation of Ukraine.

Stating that there were attempts to stop the conflicts in Donbas in eastern Ukraine after 2014, Zelenskyy noted that despite the presence of very influential guarantors such as Germany and France, the attempt to stop the clashes was rejected by Putin, and he compared Putin to a predator.

"RUSSIAN AGGRESSION IS BECOMING MORE EVIDENT"

Stating that Russia is pursuing a policy of expansion, Zelenskyy said, "If there are those who think this is only about us, only about Ukraine, they are completely wrong. New Russian aggression beyond Ukraine is becoming increasingly evident."

Stating that Ukraine must increase its air power to defeat Russia, Zelenskyy said, "We must achieve air superiority for Ukraine. Our partners know what is needed and in what quantities. This will enable progress on the ground."
