Zelenskyy: Russia is now trying to save the Iranian nuclear program

In his traditional nightly video message, Zelenskyy evaluated developments regarding the Russia-Ukraine War.

Stating that he had inspected an apartment building in Kyiv that was damaged in an air strike carried out by the Russians on June 17, Zelenskyy noted that 23 people had died in this building.

Describing this as a "terrorist attack," Zelenskyy said, "The Russians killed a total of 30 people and injured 172 in their major attack on Ukraine."

Expressing that Russia is cooperating with Iran and North Korea, Zelenskyy said, "Russia is now trying to save the Iranian nuclear program. Its public signals and non-public activities cannot be interpreted in any other way."

PRISONER EXCHANGE AND TALKS WITH RUSSIA

In his speech, Zelenskyy recalled that they carried out another prisoner-of-war exchange with Russia today within the scope of the agreements reached during the talks held in Istanbul on June 2.

Noting that they want to bring back all Ukrainian prisoners, Zelenskyy said, "We are working on every surname. We need to exchange everyone for everyone."

Zelenskyy stated that he is ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war, and continued his words as follows:

"The war really needs to end. Ukraine is ready to hold talks at the highest level, and this is a decision-making level. I am ready to meet in any format with those who make decisions and have the appropriate authority. Even including Putin, even if he has exceeded his constitutional powers by at least three terms."

Noting that he wants the war to end during U.S. President Donald Trump's term, Zelenskyy said, "It is desirable for the war to end during President Trump's term. I am counting heavily on his help."

Zelenskyy also announced that he had signed a decree appointing Brigadier General Gennady Shapovalov to the Command of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.

Stating that Shapovalov had previously served in Germany, Zelenskyy noted that this decision was made in coordination with allies in NATO.
