Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made statements regarding the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin concerning Ukraine.
The statement from Ukrainian leader Zelenskyy is as follows:
"I hope to speak with Trump to learn the details of the Putin-Trump discussions. I support the idea of stopping attacks on energy infrastructure. I support all proposals that will lead to stability and lasting peace. Talking about Ukraine without Ukraine yields no results. The release of all Ukrainian prisoners of war would be a way for Russia to show good faith in negotiations. Russia is preparing for new attacks on the Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions in the coming months to exert maximum pressure on Ukraine.
An unconditional or partially unconditional ceasefire would be a positive outcome. Putin is trying to weaken Kyiv by ensuring the termination of military and intelligence aid provided to Ukraine."
