Zelenskyy: Trump's representatives to arrive in Kyiv on Sunday after Moscow
Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine will not conduct air strikes against Russia during the visit ahead of the contacts with Witkoff and Kushner.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that US President Donald Trump's special representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, will hold diplomatic contacts covering Russia and Ukraine.
In a post on his social media account, Zelenskyy stated that they held a meeting with the diplomatic team working with the US to prepare for negotiations. Accordingly, Witkoff and Kushner are expected to go to Moscow first, and then to Kyiv on Sunday.
The Ukrainian leader announced that Ukraine will not conduct air strikes against Russia during the visit to ensure the safety of the US negotiators. Zelenskyy also requested that Russia act in the same manner.
Zelenskyy expressed that they aim for the meetings to be held in Kyiv to be as "constructive and concrete" as possible. The US representatives are expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow and with Zelenskyy in Kyiv.
