Zelenskyy's statement on the attack in Russia

Ukrainian President Zelenskyy reacted to statements from Russia blaming his country for the terrorist attack in Moscow.

Stating that Russia always uses the same methods, Zelenskyy said, "They have sent hundreds of thousands of terrorists here, to Ukrainian soil, they are fighting against us, and they do not care about what is happening in their own country."

In his speech, Zelenskyy evaluated the statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who claimed that the individuals who carried out the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert venue in the capital Moscow the previous day were trying to escape toward Ukraine.

Noting that Putin and other Russian officials are trying to blame Ukraine for the attack and that they have taken similar steps before, Zelenskyy said, "(The Russians) always use the same methods."

Zelenskyy accused the Russian army of carrying out "terrorist acts" against Ukraine and the people living in the country.

In his speech, Zelenskyy included the phrase, "They have sent hundreds of thousands of terrorists here, to Ukrainian soil, they are fighting against us, and they do not care about what is happening in their own country," and accused Putin of remaining silent for a day, thinking about how to link the attack to Ukraine instead of caring for or addressing Russian citizens.

Noting that as long as the Russian people do not hold Putin accountable for the Russian soldiers who died in Ukraine, Putin will use this situation to his advantage, Zelenskyy said, "Terrorists must always lose, and I thank everyone who truly defends life."

THE ATTACK IN MOSCOW

A terrorist attack was carried out by armed individuals at a concert hall called Crocus City Hall in Moscow last night.

In footage shared on social media, it was seen that the attackers opened fire indiscriminately in the hall with automatic weapons.

A fire broke out on the roof of the building where the concert hall is located, and the roof collapsed after a while.

The Russian Investigative Committee announced that 133 people lost their lives in the attack. It was stated that there are more than 100 injured in the incident.

The attack was claimed by ISIS.

Russian President Vladimir Putin reported that 11 people, including the 4 terrorists who carried out the attack, have been detained.
