'Young Tuesday' Workshop with İdil İlkin: The Performance of Art
Contemporary artist İdil İlkin meets with young people at Istanbul Modern on Tuesday, March 12, as part of a talk titled 'The Performance of Art'.

Istanbul Modern continues to bring young people and artists together through its 'Young Tuesday' Education Program.
In the program, which is realized with the support of the Eczacıbaşı Group, young people this month are focusing on the concepts of 'process' and 'vitality' in art production.
The workshop, which will be led by contemporary artist İdil İlkin, draws inspiration from the artist's own work.
The artist, who has been working to raise awareness about ecological destruction and carbon in her recent projects, shares with the audience the interventions she applies to various plants through molecules as part of the workshop.
The program concludes with participants observing the “bio-luminescence” experience prepared by the artist for the workshop.
ABOUT 'YOUNG TUESDAY'
With the support of the Eczacıbaşı Group, all young people between the ages of 18–25 can experience Istanbul Modern for free every Tuesday between 10.00 and 14.00.
In the program called “Young Tuesday,” in addition to visiting all exhibitions at Istanbul Modern for free, young people also have the opportunity to participate in artist workshops, talks, and many other surprise events held on one Tuesday each month at no cost.
