The new Istanbul Modern building, designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, who has left his mark on cultural venues around the world, has won ArchDaily's 'Cultural Architecture Award'.
Having been selected for Architectural Digest's 'Works of Wonder 2024' list and subsequently featured in National Geographic's 'Best of the World' rankings, Istanbul Modern has now received another prestigious award.
The new museum building, designed by the Renzo Piano Building Workshop—founded by Renzo Piano—was the winner in the cultural architecture category at the 'Building of the Year' awards, which have been organized for 15 years by ArchDaily, one of the world's leading architecture platforms.
DETERMINED BY READERS
The awards, presented by ArchDaily in 15 categories, are determined by the platform's readers based on the qualities of the nominated projects and how they benefit the community in their respective locations.
The cultural architecture category, which focuses on museums and cultural-arts institutions worldwide, features the most remarkable structures built that year.
