Güran family files 414 criminal complaints over social media reactions

As the investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, who was killed on August 21 in the village of Tavşantepe in Diyarbakır, continues, the responses of the Güran family to reactions on social media have sparked controversy.

Narin Güran's body was found in a sack in a stream bed 19 days after she was murdered. In the investigation into the murder, Narin's uncle was arrested on charges of intentional killing, while her mother, brother, and aunt were arrested on charges of complicity in intentional killing. Other relatives were detained on charges of destroying evidence and harboring a criminal.

According to information reported by journalist Emrullah Erdinç, while efforts to shed light on the murder continue, the family of Narin Güran has turned their attention to the criticisms directed at them on social media.

It has emerged that the Güran family has filed a total of 414 criminal complaints at the Diyarbakır Courthouse due to messages on social media alleged to contain insults.
