Minister Kurum met with IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu: Following the villa demolition in Vaniköy
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum received Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

The tension between employees of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change and IMM employees, who came face-to-face during the demolition process of the villa in Vaniköy, had also been the subject of main news bulletins.
Shortly after the tension experienced during the villa's demolition process, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum received Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
The meeting, which took place upon İmamoğlu's request, lasted approximately 1.5 hours.
Sharing a post on his social media account after the reception held at the Ministry, Minister Kurum stated, “We received Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu at our ministry. We exchanged views on urban transformation within the scope of Istanbul's earthquake preparedness, which we attach great importance to as a ministry, and on the protection of the natural wealth of Istanbul and the Bosphorus. Our consultations with local governments will continue.”
