Garlic Bread, which is widely consumed in countries such as Italy, England, Scotland, Sweden, and Norway, has become a topic of interest in our country.

So, what is Garlic Bread and how is it made? Here is a practical Garlic Bread recipe...

Garlic Bread Ingredients:

(1 cup = 200 ml)

For the dough;

• 1 tbsp dry/powdered yeast
• 1 tbsp granulated sugar
• 1 tea glass of warm water
• 4 tbsp melted butter
• 1 cup warm milk
• Half tsp salt
• 2 eggs (beaten)
• 4.5 cups flour

For the filling;

• 150 g butter at room temperature
• 4-5 cloves of crushed garlic
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 pinch of parsley
• Green onions if desired

How to make Garlic Bread:

We start by mixing the yeast and sugar in 1 tea glass of water and letting it sit for 5 minutes.

Afterward, we add the melted butter, milk, and beaten eggs to this mixture.

In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt, then pour our liquid mixture over it. Mix well. Cover our dough and set it aside to rise at room temperature for 1 hour. (If you prefer a softer dough as in the video, you can also add half a cup of water)

Meanwhile, for our filling, we prepare our mixture of finely chopped parsley, garlic, and butter.

Place the risen dough on a flat surface, expand it with the help of a rolling pin, and shape it into a rectangle about one finger thick.

Spread the garlic mixture over the entire dough and cut it into squares. Form each square into a ball and place them into the baking mold.

Place it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees (top and bottom heat) for an average of 30 minutes.

You can brush the remaining garlic sauce on the bread as soon as it comes out of the oven.
