The Federation of Women Associations of Turkey (TKDF) has published its report on femicides. According to the report, 357 women were murdered between January 1 and October 31. 61 of these murders were recorded as 'suspicious deaths'.

61 of the murdered women were recorded as 'suspicious deaths'. 198 women were killed with firearms, while 77 women were killed with sharp objects.
MOST KILLERS ARE 'KNOWN'
The report states that most of the killers who took the lives of these women were family members. The average age of the murdered women is 37; 168 were married, 96 were single, 26 were divorced, 10 were in a religious marriage, and 55 had no marital status recorded.
135 women were killed within the family. 53 of the women were murdered by men they were in the process of divorcing, 45 by acquaintances, and 41 by men they were in a relationship with.
