Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that they have no agenda to privatize Turkish Airlines (THY) or Ajet.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Uraloğlu said that Ajet's separation from the THY structure was carried out to enable the company to have a more competitive structure.

'NOT ON OUR AGENDA'

Uraloğlu stated, "THY is already a global brand. It is Turkey's flag carrier and is truly very, very valuable. None of us have any question marks regarding THY. I am saying this very clearly. The separation of Ajet from THY and its transformation into a new public company is a decision taken to increase its growth by boosting its competitive power in the 'low-cost' segment. There is no agenda regarding its sale either. I can say very clearly that it is not on the agenda of Turkey or our ministry at the moment."
