Residency by investment in Latvia! Important warnings and advice for business people from DTİK Latvia Representative Fuat Aydemir
Opportunities for residency by investment in Latvia, a European Union country, have been on the agenda recently. However, misinformation can lead to grievances. Fuat Aydemir, Representative of the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK), has issued important warnings regarding the matter.
Latvia stands out as an attractive country for those looking to obtain residency through investment in Europe. However, various announcements and misinformation circulating recently indicate that investors need to be cautious.
Fuat Aydemir, who has been operating in the tourism and investment sectors in Latvia for many years and is the founder of the Latvian-Turkish Business Association, drew attention to the misinformation regarding the Golden Visa program.
Aydemir shared the following statements on the subject:
“The long-standing good relations between Latvia and Turkey make investment opportunities more attractive. However, information circulating recently regarding investment-based residency can lead to many people being misled.

Yes, it is possible to obtain a residence permit through investment in Latvia, but this process has specific and clear criteria. As the Latvian-Turkish Business Association, we offer support to provide the most accurate information on this subject and to prevent grievances.”....
Aydemir, who is also the Latvia Representative of the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK), recommended that investors pay attention to the following critical points within the scope of the program.
"Obtain information from reliable sources. Before investing, a detailed review of companies approved by the Latvian state and official criteria must be conducted.
You should receive professional support from experts or institutions in the field. The investment contract should be carefully examined and legal measures should be taken to protect your rights."
