Turkey is being dragged into war with the Mecca Agreement

Prayers were performed, signatures were signed.

A defense pact called the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement was signed between Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia on August 7, 2026.

May God accept it, but who gave the order?

Turkey signed it, but the Turkish nation does not know the content of the agreement. The Parliament and the members of parliament in the Assembly are also unaware.

Yet, the founder of this country, Atatürk, always stated that it is a constitutional necessity for international agreements to pass through the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey.

He explains the reasons for this as follows:

“…If it becomes inevitable for this country to fall into a disaster, to engage in or join a war at any place one day, it is the government's primary duty to make a decision by consulting the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) and the nation, and by thinking thoroughly.

.....

The struggle, tension, and hostility between the Great Powers are so advanced that there is a possibility of getting involved in a disaster by remaining among them. Against this possibility, we must be very careful, cautious, and cool-headed.”

He said this in 1937. Likely for the approaching World War.

But today, the conditions are the same. Because a major war is expected. There is a possibility of getting involved in a disaster.

To speak more clearly, Saudi Arabia is at war with Iran. Even if they are not in a hot war, they are facing each other as alliances, and Saudi Arabia could enter a war at any moment. It is in Iran's target and range. Furthermore, it is under the command of the US, which is in an active state of war.

Pakistan is at war with Afghanistan.

In the US-Iran war, Pakistan appears neutral for now, but it is a neighbor to Iran. It shares a border.

It could enter at any moment.

Moreover, no matter how neutral Pakistan appears, it is predominantly under US influence.

So, what will Turkey do if these two countries on the firing line enter the war? Will it not have been involved in the war due to the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement?

You know how the Turks entered the First World War, which ended the Ottoman Empire. It happened by forming an alliance with the Germans and by presenting it as a fait accompli without asking the nation or the parliament. There was a Chamber of Deputies (Meclis-i Mebusan) back then, too. They didn't even ask for the sake of procedure.

The result; forced involvement in the war due to the alliance and destruction.

There is a US-Iran war at hand, and this Agreement directly aims to besiege and encircle Iran. Turkey is being dragged into war.

Furthermore; when you look at the map, it is very clear that Iran is being surrounded militarily. Iran, on the other hand, is protecting Palestine and Gaza against Israel. So, in this case, who are we protecting?

Israel, aren't we?

We don't even know what we are doing. On one hand, they organize anti-Israel rallies, and on the other hand, we sign agreements against Iran, which is stopping Israel militarily.

What kind of contradiction is this?

On one hand, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is coming to Ankara in July, on the other hand, the NATO summit is gathering in Ankara, and now the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement is being signed.

Without the knowledge of the Parliament and the Nation.

It is not a good sign at all.
