Would Atatürk have joined NATO if he were alive?

No, he would not have.

When Atatürk was on his deathbed in 1938, he said some very important things to Ali Fuat Cebesoy.

He said that the Second World War would break out very soon, that unfortunately, no first-rate statesmen were emerging from the countries ruling the world, that the weak statesmen in Europe were in a state of helplessness, that adventurers like Hitler and Mussolini were forcibly at the helm of Germany and Italy, and that these tyrants were taking courage from the helplessness of other weak statesmen.

Furthermore, he said that Hitler would drag Europe into war and that the Russian Red Army would stop Hitler. And everything he predicted before the war came true one by one.

After the Second World War, he said that “the map and balance of the world would change completely.”

Moreover, he established the Balkan Pact (alliance) to stop Hitler in the Balkans, and the Saadabad Pact against Mussolini's threat to Iran and the Middle East.

Now I ask you; would a leader who saw the future, read the situations within it very clearly, and took precautions accordingly, join an alliance established by statesmen he did not approve of and criticized?

Of course not.

Atatürk was someone who believed not in the existence of others, but in his own existence, who believed in his own power, and who acted accordingly.

Atatürk had said back then that the weak statesmen in Europe were in a state of helplessness and that tyrants like Hitler and Mussolini were taking courage from the helplessness of these weak statesmen.

Isn't it the same today?

Don't adventurers like Trump and Netanyahu today take courage from the helplessness of the wealthy but character-weak statesmen in Europe and the Arab world?

Are they not staining the world with blood by taking advantage of this?

Hadn't Atatürk said as much yesterday?

Would Atatürk, who did not bow down to those adventurers back then, bow down to these adventurers and these helpless statesmen today? Would he join the alliance of these mass murderers?

Of course he would not.

But if an alliance were to be established in this region or on a global scale, he would have established that alliance himself. Just as he established the Balkan Pact and the Saadabad Pact.

And he would have offered the alliance he established to world peace. He would have offered it for the common good of humanity. Besides, Atatürk was not in favor of war to begin with. He was in favor of peace. NATO is not in favor of peace, but of war. And since the day it was founded, it has never been in favor of peace. It has always fought for imperialism. It became their armed stooge.

Furthermore, would Atatürk, who said “Peace at home, peace in the world,” ever join NATO?

Of course not.

Do you know what Atatürk would have done if he were alive?

He would not have fawned over NATO, the armed wing of murderous America and the hypocritical West, and its representatives to look charming; he would have driven Trump and his cronies out of this region and sent them back, just as he did 100 years ago.

Because before he died in 1937, Atatürk had said, “We will not allow the Middle East to become a slave to Western Imperialism.”

If Atatürk were alive, he would not have let NATO into this region, and he would not have allowed the Middle East to become a slave to America and the West. But unfortunately, his life was not long enough.

But those who came after him surrendered the country to NATO.
