A new step in treason against the Constitution: Protection for sheikhs

Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk spoke these historic words in a speech he gave in Kastamonu on August 30, 1925:

“Gentlemen and fellow citizens! Know well that the Republic of Turkey cannot be a land of sheikhs, dervishes, disciples, and followers. The most correct, the most true order is the order of civilization. To do what civilization commands and requires is enough to be human. The leaders of these orders will immediately grasp this truth I have stated with all its clarity and will, of their own accord, immediately close their lodges, and will certainly accept that their disciples have now reached maturity.”

These words of Atatürk were the beginning of a revolution.

The point that these religious orders have reached today is an indicator of the “counter-revolution”…

Brace yourselves and look at the list of religious orders whose activities are “still” prohibited according to the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey:

After the transition to the multi-party system, governments led by Adnan Menderes, Süleyman Demirel, Kenan Evren, Turgut Özal, Mesut Yılmaz, Yıldırım Akbulut, Tansu Çiller, Necmettin Erbakan, Abdullah Gül, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and even the leftist Bülent Ecevit turned a blind eye to these orders.

It would be fine if they only turned a blind eye… Many of them even found it appropriate for themselves to become disciples. (Demirel, Özal, Akbulut, Erbakan, Gül, Erdoğan.)

In the next step, they enabled these orders to organize and acquire property.

They divided the state's cadres among these orders according to their size and power.

They handed over the most valuable cadres of the Republic of Turkey, founded by Atatürk, to these religious figures.

Thus, the revolutionary process ended; the “counter-revolution” process that began in the 1950s has reached its end.

Do you know what the latest favor granted to these orders, all of whom are multi-millionaires, is?

As you will see in the video included in the article, it is the claim that “official protection” has been provided to “sheikhs of religious orders”…

A bearded man, whose sheikhdom is self-proclaimed, is praying; behind him, someone wearing the uniform of official state security is providing his protection.

I ask the Minister of Interior:

Are the allegations true?

While you are supposed to close these orders according to the Constitution and take legal action against the sheikhs…

Did you also provide them with protection?

If this is the case…

Shame on you…

They are trying to deceive us, dear friends.

Religious orders are not democratic organizations or anything of the sort.

They are illegal, anti-secular formations.

Their goal is to destroy the current Republic of Turkey and establish a sharia state in its place!

Behind many of them, there is even a colonial state.

The politicians who are reviving them today and making them a plague upon us; they will, of course, when the day comes, be held accountable for this great treason in the real courts of the Republic!

Let this be known as such!
