President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that they have completed the 12th Development Plan.
They claim to have done this with the contributions of non-governmental organizations, professional associations, and the business world—in other words, with a common mind.
(I wish a non-governmental organization would come forward and say, “This target in the plan is our proposal…”)
*
This plan, which covers the 2024-2028 period, supposedly sets out five goals for Turkey’s next five years:
One: Qualified people, strong family, healthy society.
Two: Stable growth, strong economy.
Three: Competitive production through green and digital transformation.
Four: Disaster-resilient living spaces, sustainable environment.
Five: Democratic good governance based on justice.
*
As for the concrete targets…
. We are supposedly going to grow by an average of 5 percent every year!
. In 2028, we are supposedly going to reach a national income of 1 trillion 589 billion dollars and a per capita income of 17 thousand 554 dollars!
. An average annual employment increase of 3 percent will be achieved, and unemployment will be reduced to the 7.5 percent level.
. Our goods exports will be increased to 375 billion dollars, our tourism revenues to 100 billion dollars; our current account deficit will be reduced to a level close to zero…
. And… Our bane, inflation, will be permanently reduced to single digits and brought down to 4.7 percent by the end of 2028…
*
Do we believe it?
Of course not! Because we are not stupid!
All of these targets were also present in the seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, and eleventh five-year development plans.
Every five years, bureaucrats take these so-called targets, shift them up or down by a point, and put them back in front of us using a copy-paste method.
Open and look at the 11th Development Plan, which is currently coming to an end…
Not a single one of the promised targets was met.
Far from being met, five years later, we are in a much worse state than we were five years ago!
Our currency lost value, inflation exploded, unemployment hit record highs, and the current account deficit reached unimaginable dimensions.
Children are committing suicide due to hunger, and you heartless people; do you not see this either!
The per capita share of the Gross National Product is even lower than it was 21 years ago when this government first took office…
*
So why are they making these “fake” plans?
They are creating work for bureaucrats and deceiving us!
They are making us dream by looking at the promised figures!
None of it happens, it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen!
And it won't happen!
These people don't even care about the targets they set. Their only concern is to enrich their own base…
I have to admit; they are succeeding at that too!
The veiled sisters driving around in the most luxurious cars in traffic, the bearded and robed uncles buying three or five houses in luxury housing estates are proof of this…
*
It doesn't happen because they are focused on their real “plans”…
Their real plan is to erase not just the name of Atatürk, but also his principles and revolutions from these lands…
To raise a generation that is, as they openly say (their piety is debatable), religious and vengeful!
To establish an ummah state instead of a nation-state!
It is painful that they are implementing these plans step by step!
*
To understand the actions of these men, it is enough to look at the football pitches during important matches and the jerseys of the million-dollar players running on those pitches:
The pitch is terrible, they cannot grow grass. Instead, they pour green paint onto the soil to give it the appearance of grass. That paint then dyes the footballers' white jerseys green…
There you have it; the mentality reflected on the pitches is how they manage the country as well…
*
In short; forget the development plan promises announced with grand words…
The reality is clear:
We have hit rock bottom in poverty with these men; five years from now, we will be even worse off…
The rest is a lie!
*
So, do I have no hope at all?
Of course I do… Haven't you heard? Yıldırım Demirören, one of the biggest names in the energy, gambling, and media sectors fed by the government, has bought himself and his daughter Dominican citizenship!
It means he has started to think that the end of the road might be reached!
He realized that he will go…
Even that is something!
