Almost every day, scandals occurring in KYK dormitories catch our eye just as much as the news about influencers. But the stories of the influencers seem more appealing.

Yet, students staying in Credit and Dormitories Institution (KYK) dorms are living practically face-to-face with death. The death of Zeren Ertaş as a result of the elevator accident at the Aydın KYK Güzelhisar Girls' Dormitory had shaken everyone. After this incident, news of elevator accidents from KYK dormitories across the country continued to arrive one after another. 

Kars, Ankara, Gaziantep, Ordu... 

For the students and families shaken by these events, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak was forced to announce that every dormitory was being inspected one by one and that the elevator systems were being checked.

I have a suggestion: While you are visiting these dormitories, please also take a look at what is being fed to the youth, who are the guarantee of our future, Honorable Minister...

We are afraid that students will be poisoned by the food! 

Students are sharing it on social media almost every day... 

The things found in the food are nauseating, let alone eating them, even just reading about them is sickening!

The other day, a cigarette pack and a cigarette butt were found in the food served at a girls' dormitory in Diyarbakır!

A dead mouse in the food in Nevşehir...

Hair and insects in Düzce...

Worms, insects, and iron nuts were found in Samsun...

The housing problem for students is well-known. Despite fearing for their lives, there are hundreds waiting in line just to stay there...

Green Left Party MP Ayten Kordu stated in a parliamentary question regarding dormitories that only 10 out of every 100 students in higher education in Turkey are able to stay in these dorms.  

My hand doesn't even want to write about the situation of those who cannot stay in dorms; should I talk about the exorbitant rents or the transportation costs...

A system that pops up like mushrooms all over Turkey but raises young people who are diploma-holders yet uneducated due to poor quality of education... The diplomas these young people receive have no value in the world. Young people are being given diplomas that have no equivalence abroad.

We don't even know the number of graduates wandering around unemployed with their diplomas in hand.

Many of our young people, who spent years studying hard, using the stairs to avoid falling victim to elevator accidents, and trying to separate dead mice from the beans in their meals, have lost all hope.  

Because after all these hardships, they will finish their schools, do an internship, and then try to hold onto life with a salary just a few pennies above the minimum wage.

On the other hand, uneducated social media influencers with no area of expertise, who promote products on social media, share their daily lives, and have millions of followers within a cycle of fake advertising, are driving around in luxury cars with currency-themed curlers in their hair. 

This hollow world became so popular that crime lords also took notice of these influencers and used them to launder their dirty money. 

Let's look at the most popular news story of the past month, the Dilan and Engin Polat case. Their story, which began in a shanty house, ended up behind bars. The dream they lived for a year or two ended in a nightmare. 

If you say to a young person who finds a dead mouse in their meal, "That's not a real life. Don't stray from the right path. Finish your school, stay unemployed with a diploma. If you find an acquaintance, you can get a job at minimum wage," wouldn't they hit you over the head with their cafeteria tray? 

What ethical value, what truth can you possibly explain to these young people...

Just yesterday, a woman on the platform called TikTok made headlines across the country by pretending to unbutton her shirt. It was claimed that she earned 20,000 liras during the stream. That is almost equivalent to two minimum wages! 

The new trend in the scientific world The proposition of “I wonder if we are living in a simulation” may continue to remain as the ‘Goldbach Conjecture’, but it is a fact that we are living in a virtual world. Because this much absurdity cannot even be scripted in cheap Hollywood movies. 

Do you remember how the story that sent the Dilan-Engin Polat couple behind bars began?

There is a person wanted by an 'Interpol Red Notice' due to their posts. Muhammed Yakut, who calls himself the 'Madman of Madmen' and has a social media account by that name...

He was the one who shared the first allegations regarding this couple's money laundering and betting activities. Afterward, lawyer Feyza Altun, who is at least as well-known on social media as the Polat couple, got involved. As the matter grew, prominent journalists and eventually prosecutors, the tax authorities, and the police all went after the incident. 

There is a saying: 'A madman threw a stone into a well, and forty wise men could not get it out'...

But if a madman hadn't thrown a stone into that well in this case, why was there no one to see how deep the well was? 

If the matter hadn't fallen onto social media, would no one have asked where the source of this money was coming from? Was it just going to be said, 'Oh brother, they are rich, they live as they please'?

Have you ever seen the Sabancıs or the Koçs walking around with Euro-shaped hair curlers on their heads? 'There is something strange about this, let's investigate it' Why did no one who said this appear until the incident became a trending topic on social media?

Was there no one to say that this is not a way to spend money that can be earned through hard work?

So, what is the result?

Two young people, used by others, first got stuck in the mud due to their desire to live a luxurious life, and now they are in prison. Their assets have been seized. There are even reports circulating that Dilan Polat is showing suicidal tendencies in prison. 

How did these two names manage this entire organization? Is there an answer to this? 

Are they intelligent enough to figure this out? 

Or, while they are in prison asking 'What have we done?', will we be complaining, "Wow, what is going on?" while the real bosses continue to light their cigars?

While we were distracted by the Dilan and Engin Polat case, social media influencers began to be detained one after another. News about influencers using drugs, committing fraud, or fleeing abroad has become the new trend in the media. 

As I mentioned that we live in a virtual world, a virtual world has truly emerged that directs everything in the country. We seek our rights there, we seek justice there, and of course, while doing so, we are scammed on social media and lulled to sleep on social media...
