Is it racism, xenophobia, or vandalism?

The rapidly rising xenophobia and nationalist trend in Europe could lead to even greater problems if an urgent policy is not followed...

The language used by state officials regarding immigrants participating in pro-Palestine demonstrations, and the provocative publications of far-right newspapers have now begun to pose a security threat. 

We saw the latest example of this last night on the streets of Dublin, the capital of Ireland. 

A human-shaped attacker wounded three children and two adults who were trying to protect them in a knife attack in front of a school near Parnell Square, one of the city's most well-known locations. 

According to local police statements, a 6-year-old girl who was wounded will undergo surgery. One of the 5-year-old children also wounded in the incident has been discharged. A school employee who intervened against the attacker is also in critical condition...

It is not yet known why the human-shaped attacker did this. However, Ireland was set on fire last night because of this incident. The police provided information that the suspect, in his 40s, had been living in the country for 20 years and was an Irish citizen. 

However, although the motive for the attack has not been officially announced, far-right groups turned it into xenophobia and set the capital on fire. 

During the riots on the streets of Ireland, the windows of businesses were smashed, and police cars, trains, and buses were set on fire. Shops were looted, and even a police officer was beaten. 

The reason for the public's intense anger is the information circulating on social media about the attacker's nationality...

As a result, 34 people who participated in the protests were detained, and Irish Prime Minister Taoiseach Leo Varadkar described the events as a 'night of shame.' Those involved in the events were branded as looting vandals. However, this incident once again showed that anti-foreigner sentiment has become a serious danger all over Europe. 

It is not even known why the attacker carried out this act. Even if he did it for a political ideology, the public's anger is greater than that shown toward an attacker, a murderer, or a pervert. The reason for this is the possibility that he is a foreigner...

Xenophobia is also a rising trend in Central Europe!

The fact that Geert Wilders' party, which openly declares itself to be far-right and even xenophobic, emerged as the leading party in an average European country like the Netherlands, which usually keeps a low profile, reveals this new trend in Europe. 

The first statement by Wilders, the leader of the Party for Freedom (PVV), which secured 37 of the 150 seats in parliament and emerged as the leading party in the elections held three days ago, was at a level that would increase concerns. 

The racist leader gave a victory speech saying, "We will take the Netherlands back! The hope of the Netherlands will be for people to take their country back. Limiting the asylum tsunami and having more money in people's wallets." 

Far-right voters also believe that foreigners in the country are exploiting the income that is their right. However, no one sees the fact that these far-right supporters who receive state aid do not want to work in greenhouses that reach 50 degrees.

They also do not see that their governments bring in immigrant workers to grow their world-famous tulips and to provide vegetable supplies to all of Europe, or more accurately, to keep 80 percent of the Dutch economy afloat.

Because extremism requires looking at the world through blinders. 

The Turkish public remembers Geert Wilders from the presidential elections with his remarks: "I hope all Turks in the Netherlands who voted for the Islamo-fascist Erdoğan will pack their bags and move to Turkey. Goodbye!" 

Isn't attacking those who are not 'one of us' the common language of all extreme policies? This attracts the attention of voters everywhere in the world. While rhetoric about human rights, brotherhood, and equal rights and freedoms does not pay off, doesn't the view of 'let's strike, let's cut, those who are not one of us have no right to live' carry the most unlikely names to those seats? 

Of course, immigrants also need to integrate into the rules and cultures of the countries they go to. This is a problem in itself, but solving it is easier than being an enemy.

Of course, many assessments can be made on the subject, but the most important assessment will undoubtedly be that the danger is growing day by day...

The Crusades in the past were a total campaign against the Muslim threat. Today's fueled crusade mentality could reach the point of interfering with the neighbor next door with whom one has lived for years. 

Politicians in the countries of immigrants who have migrated to Europe, especially from the Islamic geography, have an important duty here.

If they do not determine an urgent language and policy of reconciliation and cooperate with the politicians of European countries, it will be inevitable that greater problems will be experienced in the coming days.
