Justice operates based on social media reactions!

You are walking down the street, completely unaware, and suddenly two human degenerates corner you in a blind spot. 

They start drooling and try to hug and kiss you. When you resist, they grab your waist, throw you to the ground, and climb on top of you. In the middle of the road in Beyoğlu, in front of everyone's eyes, they attempt to rape you!

It turns out that the two perverts involved in this incident—which you would say couldn't even happen in movies—had prior records for sexual assault…

If you are a woman in Turkey, anything can happen to you at any moment. A maniac on a bus might harass you. Another maniac might defend the first one by saying, 'You shouldn't have worn a short skirt.' A pervert who comes to your workplace might try to touch a tattoo on your leg, and when you file a complaint, they might sue you for defamation. You could be married off at the age of 6! Your ex-boyfriend might cut off your head and throw it off the city walls. Your ex-husband might empty a magazine of bullets into you, and then receive a sentence reduction for 'good conduct' in court. Your manager or boss at work might harass you. If you are bothered by it, they fire you. 

The perverts who do all these things are always right. Nothing ever happens to them… You file a complaint, they open a file and send it away… 

It is hard not to go mad. A crime machine with 19 criminal records walks the streets and shoots a female police officer. Two crime machines, with records including sexual assault, resisting arrest, drug use, robbery, intentional injury, and theft, attempt to rape a woman in the middle of the street. 

This situation has completely fallen apart. 

If the citizens nearby hadn't intervened, they would have raped the young woman in the middle of the road…

Do you know what is just as disgusting as the sexual assault itself? The suspects, Semir T. (31) and Ömer K. (27), were released after their statements were taken.

Thank God for social media; once an outcry was created there, the two perverts were caught and arrested. 

We are operating justice based on reactions on social media. If it doesn't hit social media, they are free. If it does, they are arrested to appease the public. But how long will they stay inside? 

Perverts, thieves, and murderers with dozens of files are walking among us. No one is safe. Isn't security the most important service the state should provide to its citizens? 

I am saying it again, I am saying it once more: what needs to be changed urgently in this country is not the constitution, but the law, which no one has any faith in anymore, needs an update. We are building the world's largest courthouses and prisons, yet criminals are walking among us.
