May you be cursed, Mehmet!

Don't leave your news choices to an algorithm - decide for yourself what you read. Add 12punto to your preferred sources!

Once again, we have made headlines in the world media with an unthinkable story...

Once again, we felt ashamed on behalf of someone else and wished the ground would swallow us up...

The country was up in arms following a scandal that took place in the Netherlands the other day.

According to reports in the Dutch press, a Turkish citizen, whom we learned is named Mehmet A., sexually abused a cow at a petting zoo in the Netherlands.

It is not just the Netherlands, but all of Europe that is in shock over the abuse of a cow named 'Laura' living at the Wooldrik Zoo...

So much so that the European press, while covering the news of the abuse, specifically emphasized the nationality of the pervert;

Turkish!

The 59-year-old pervert named Mehmet was immediately deported from the country. But the Turks living in the Netherlands could not deport the shame from their minds...

In Turkey, we get angry at immigrants. Because they take photos and videos of women without their knowledge... Europeans cannot even fathom being angry; the man abused a cow! They are in such shock that they cannot comprehend it...

Then we ask, "Why don't they want us, why don't they give us visas?" No one looks at the incident as just 'pervert Mehmet'... They look at it as 'the Turk who abused a cow.' How can this image be cleaned up? How can these people want you?

This human disgrace has now returned to his homeland. He will continue his life as if nothing happened. The Dutch press is also revolting against him being deported without being punished.

Well, how will this cursed Mehmet explain what he has done to his wife, friends, and relatives? Will he say, "I returned for good, Europe isn't for us, I'm tired now"?

On behalf of humanity, and on behalf of all Turks living in Europe, I can only say this much here: Shame on you...

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL FOR THE RETIREE!

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan said, "We are implementing many projects within the scope of the Year of the Retiree that will improve the quality of life of our retirees and enrich them in terms of physical and mental health, as well as socially and culturally."

Retirees were practically celebrating at this news...

The minister's good news package has everything...

When he said, "We will launch special discounts and campaigns for retirees at PTT AVM, Agricultural Credit Cooperative Markets, Turkish Airlines, TCDD, GSM operators, cinemas and theaters, and PTT Cargo. We will also provide special discounts for retirees at chain markets and clothing stores. By signing a protocol with the Union of Municipalities, our retirees will be able to travel around Turkey for free with cultural tours," we were as proud as he was!

But the retiree had no energy to be proud at that moment because their stomach was growling...

The lowest pension is 10 thousand TL.

According to data released by the United Public-Labor Confederation, while the hunger threshold exceeded the 20 thousand lira limit in March 2024, the poverty threshold also surpassed 57 thousand lira.

But never mind... While the retiree receiving a 10 thousand lira pension was worriedly calculating the countries they would visit with Turkish Airlines and fretting over plane tickets, the minister's news of discounts poured water on their heart!

The news of discounts at PTT AVM and clothing stores relieved the retirees so much that our retirees, who are tired of waiting in line in front of the People's Bread (Halk Ekmek) kiosks, are now happy and content because they will form queues in front of famous clothing brands...

What can we say, may God give you what you deserve...
