Uğur Mumcu, one of the most important names in the history of investigative journalism, who inspired thousands of young people with both his human qualities and his journalistic talent,

"I am a Kemalist... I am a republican... I am a secularist... I am an anti-imperialist... I stand for a fully independent Turkey... I am a defender of human rights... I am against terrorism... I am the enemy of bigots, thieves, profiteers, and opportunists..." these words are my personal manifesto as well...

Uğur Mumcu, who said, "From every piece of me, people like me will be born who will surpass me," is the North Star of my journalistic journey, which is full of struggles and difficulties...

If he were alive, he would be 82 years old...

Those who ask, "How did the July 15 coup happen?" should turn back and look at Uğur Mumcu's writings...

Those who wonder, "How did the counter-revolution take over Turkey?" should remember his warnings!

Look at what Uğur Mumcu says: "Why do those who graduate from Imam Hatip schools not go to theology faculties and Islamic institutes, but insist on becoming district governors, governors, prosecutors, judges, and officers? Who is planning this long-term education and bureaucratic placement project?"

Isn't it clear who is planning it? Who let FETÖ into the capillaries of Turkey? How and why did those in power, especially the AKP, pave the way for these structures?

The fight against FETÖ is ongoing, but what about the other sects? What are the AKP administrators planning with the sects they admit to walking the same path with?

Uğur Mumcu had cleared the dust cloud over these structures... He saw that Atatürk's Turkey was being destroyed step by step and was shouting it out with the honor of an intellectual...

"Children who enter sects and religious orders will become generals 30 years later and will rise up against the Republic!"

Remember, the AKP, which increased the PKK's hope of achieving results from its terrorist acts to an extraordinary extent by calling it an "opening," jumped on the wave of nationalism when the process brought a loss of votes...

"Is nationalism the literature of 'homeland, nation, Sakarya, blood, race, flag,' or is it defending the interests and honor of the nation against everyone; that is, full independence? If nationalism is using the literature of 'homeland, nation, flag'—that is, nationalism—only to lull and deceive the masses while the country's honor is being trampled underfoot, and actually using all these values solely for one's own political or individual-class interests, then what is the opposite of this?"

Uğur Mumcu's extraordinary journalistic intuition, his principle of fact-based journalism, and his investigative nature caused him to see the counter-revolution in Turkey years in advance... Look at how he describes the backyard of governments that serve imperialism, especially FETÖ, and the structures of sects and religious orders;

"Opus Dei is the name of a Catholic organization. It develops between the triangle of politics, commerce, and religion. A similar new financial source has been found for Islamist ideology in Turkey as well. Especially in the last ten years in Turkey, there has been a triangle of sects, politics, and commerce. Islamist ideology or sects have a privilege that transcends the laws. For this reason, secularism is being destroyed by the state, and this includes the military regime."

The media has also been added as the fourth great destructive force to the sect-politics-commerce triangle that Uğur Mumcu mentioned... Throughout the AKP government, I have tried to draw attention to this issue in the books I have written, my TV programs, and my articles.

* In the last 15 years, which groups in Turkey have been fed and grown by zoning rent, privatizations, TOKİ, municipal tenders and infrastructure projects, treasury lands, and the opening of forests and protected areas to zoning, as well as the billions of dollars created through the TMSF?

* Don't these tenders, lands, and rents have a share in FETÖ's extraordinary capital accumulation?

* What other sect-politics-commerce-media organization is being fed by the gears of the corruption economy?

These questions, the answers to which are obvious, show us the picture of Turkey's near future...

What we are experiencing is a harbinger of what we will experience...
