British art institution Tate in Turkey for the first time

The collection of Tate, one of the most visited museums in the world, is coming to Turkey with the contributions of IMM Culture and IMM Heritage, meeting art lovers between January 23 and May 19, 2024, with the exhibition "The Dynamic Eye: Beyond Op and Kinetic Art".

Hosted by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), which celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Republic with great honor and enthusiasm and has crowned every step taken toward the second century with "Century of Democracy" events, this exhibition holds the distinction of being the first and largest international exhibition of this scale to be realized by a local public administration in Turkey.

The "The Dynamic Eye: Beyond Op and Kinetic Art" exhibition brings a special multidisciplinary selection to Artİstanbul Feshane, including artists such as Alexander Calder, Frank Stella, Victor Vasarely, Lygia Clark, Liliane Lijn, Julio Le Parc, Jesus Rafael Soto, Kenneth Noland, and Helio Oiticica.

57 ARTISTS FROM 21 COUNTRIES ARE FEATURED

The exhibition, which features 95 works by 57 artists from 21 countries, is curated by Valentina Ravaglia, Curator of Exhibitions and International Art at the world-famous London-based art museum Tate Modern.

Re-examining optical and kinetic art from a global perspective and bringing together modernist predecessors and contemporary artists alongside those closely associated with the movement, the "The Dynamic Eye: Beyond Op and Kinetic Art" exhibition serves as a journey through 20th-century art.

The exhibition awaits its visitors between January 23 and May 19, 2024.
