Cüneyt Arkın's inheritance ends up in court!

Cüneyt Arkın's inheritance ends up in court!

The inheritance of Cüneyt Arkın, who passed away 1.5 years ago, has ended up in court. Arkın's daughter from his first marriage, Filiz Cüreklibatır, has challenged his will.

According to Özge Eğrikar from Hürriyet, Cüreklibatır has filed a 'reduction' (testamentary disposition) lawsuit against her stepmother Betül Cüreklibatır and her brothers Murat Cüreklibatır and Kaan Polat Cüreklibatır, alleging that they hid assets from the inheritance.

According to the lawsuit filed at the Istanbul Civil Court of First Instance, Cüneyt Arkın had told his daughter that he owned a property in Levent and that he would donate it in favor of his sons and wife due to their pressure.

“WE WANT THE ASSETS TO BE DIVIDED”

Arkın also stated that he would give his daughter her share of the inheritance. The petition stated that the inheritance share promised to Filiz Cüreklibatır was never given. The petition noted that after the will was opened, there were no real estate records left under Cüneyt Arkın's name:

“It has been observed that the property in Levent was sold to 3rd parties and that other properties were purchased in the name of the defendants with the proceeds of this sale. We request that an injunction be placed on the properties and bank accounts registered in the name of the defendants, and that the assets be divided.”

Cüneyt Arkın left his assets to his wife Betül Cüreklibatır and his sons Murat Cüreklibatır and Kaan Polat Cüreklibatır.
