Filming for the movie 'A Republic Song', directed by Yağız Alp Akaydın, has been completed.

Salih Bademci plays the composer of the first Turkish opera and State Artist Ahmet Adnan Saygun, Ahmet Rıfat Şungar plays the writer, filmmaker, and sculptor Münir Hayri Egeli, Okan Yalabık plays the composer of the National Anthem Zeki Üngör, Birce Akalay plays the first female Turkish opera singer Nimet Vahide Hanım, and Ertan Saban portrays Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Focusing on Turkey in the 1930s and the transformation the Republic experienced through art, the film tells the story of the creation of Turkey's first opera, which was composed and brought to life in 27 days amidst the hardships of the post-war period.
