Gupse Özay stars in the lead role: Release date for the film 'Lohusa' announced
The new film 'Lohusa' by actress and screenwriter Gupse Özay will be released on January 19. The film was shot in various districts of Istanbul, including Bebek, Beykoz, Moda, Polenezköy, and Topkapı, as well as on studio sets.
The film titled 'Lohusa' focuses on the adventure-filled 40 days a mother and father experience after the birth of their child.
The screenplay for the film is written by Gupse Özay, while the direction is handled by Kıvanç Baruönü.
Produced by Muzaffer Yıldırım, the film features Gupse Özay, Onur Gürçay, Hazal Türesan, Esra Ruşan, Servet Pandur, Feri Güler, Birsen Dürülü, Su Şanad, Elif Nur Kerkük, Alper Baytekin, Cihan Albayrak, Zerrin Nişancı, Ceren Morova, Kahraman Sivri, Özen Özkan, Ali Yasin Özegemen, Anıl Altınöz, and Feriha Eyüpoğlu.
FILMING LASTED 6 WEEKS
The film was shot in 6 weeks with a crew of 120 people. Filming took place in various districts of Istanbul, including Bebek, Beykoz, Moda, Polenezköy, and Topkapı, as well as on studio sets.
Gupse Özay made the following statements regarding the film:
"The audience and I don't know each other. But we will get to know each other from afar by laughing and feeling emotional at the same time. This is very sweet and exciting. The postpartum period is real. It is both tragic and funny. However, like every difficulty, it is something that is easily overcome when we join hands. Mothers, women, husbands, fathers, men; our film is very beautiful. It is very warm, very funny, very real."
