German director İlker Çatak's film "The Teachers’ Lounge" has been nominated for an Oscar in the Best International Feature Film category.
Nominated for an Oscar representing Germany and starring Leonie Benesch, "The Teachers’ Lounge" tells the story of an idealistic teacher starting her first job as a math and physical education teacher.
The film focuses on the teacher's attempt to solve a series of thefts at the school.
Çatak previously won a Student Academy Award in 2015 for "Sadakat" (Fidelity).
The 96th Academy Awards will be presented at a ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre on March 10.
