The series 'Kızıl Goncalar', which faced criticism from certain religious communities from the day it began airing and was issued a 2-week broadcast suspension and a 9 million TL administrative fine by RTÜK, returns to screens today.
'WE HAVE RENEWED OUR LOCATIONS'
The series' producer Faruk Turgut stated, "After a 3-week break, we will meet with the audience tonight. We have renewed all our locations. We have addressed the shortcomings. We continue to work with the same motivation."
'THE TEAM IS WORKING UNTIL DAWN'
Meanwhile, journalist Özlem Gürses visited the Kızıl Goncalar set in Beykoz and shared the latest developments with the public.
Gürses said, "All the designs on the set are finished. The team is working until dawn. The 6th episode of the series is being filmed. They deserve congratulations. I am sure these days will pass."
WHAT IS THE PLOT OF KIZIL GONCALAR?
Kızıl Goncalar follows the intersecting fates of Levent (Özcan Deniz), a secular Kemalist, and Meryem (Özgü Namal), who lives within a conservative religious sect, while highlighting the unifying power of motherhood/fatherhood when it comes to "children," despite differences in faith and opinion.
Kızıl Goncalar is produced by Faruk Turgut and written by Şükrü Necati Şahin. The series stars Özcan Deniz and Özgü Namal.
