Special screening of Reha Erdem's latest film Neandria: To meet audiences
A special screening of Reha Erdem's latest film, Neandria, will be held at the Atlas Cinema in Istanbul on January 31, the Kadıköy Cinema on February 4, the Karaca Cinema in Izmir on February 10, and the Büyülü Fener in Ankara on February 17.
Reha Erdem's latest film 'Neandria', which had its world premiere last October at the 39th Warsaw Film Festival, also stands out as one of Turkey's "first ecologically sustainable" productions.
The film focuses on a young woman named Suna, who lives with her mother in a poor village near the ancient city of Neandria and is preparing for athletic competitions.
Following her life as it changes with the arrival of a new Imam in the village, the film tells the story of the rebellion of young people trapped in a world sick with the ambition to compete, hunt, and win, as they search for freedom and love in the cracks.
THE FILM'S CAST
Produced by Ömer Atay for Atlantik Film, the cast of Neandria includes Deniz İlhan, Ahmet Rıfat Şungar, Bülent Emin Yarar, İnci Nur Daşdemir, Nihal Yalçın, Izzy, Nur Fettahoğlu, Serkan Keskin, Gizem Katmer, Ayşegül Kopartan, and Tanıl Bora.
The film's assistant director is Deniz Tortum, known for the documentary 'Phases of Matter', while the cinematography was handled by Florent Herry, who has also worked with Reha Erdem on his previous films.
