The premiere of the TRT co-production 'Öğretmen', which recounts the events that unfold after a fanatical Fenerbahçe supporter and primary school teacher is assigned to the Çaykara district of Trabzon, took place at a cinema in Beşiktaş.

The film 'Öğretmen', written by Yılmaz Okumuş, was directed by Bilal Kalyoncu. The cast of the film, which depicts the rivalry between Trabzonspor and Fenerbahçe with a humorous touch, includes names such as Önder Açıkbaş, Asuman Dabak, and Necmi Yapıcı.

'WE ARE ALL WEARING LONG FACES'

Speaking about the film, actor Önder Açıkbaş said, "We are not going through a wonderful period. Terrible things are happening in the Middle East. We didn't watch it with joy. There were no signs of celebration either. There couldn't have been. We are all wearing long faces; we are unhappy. This is the only topic we talk about. This was a gesture to watch it before the release for our friends and you, dear members of the press. Ultimately, as for the film, which is the apple of my eye, 'Öğretmen' is a film made with great effort. It is also a very sweet film. A warm family comedy."

Social media influencer and Trabzonspor fan Bilal Hancı said, "Of course, we are very excited. A very unique subject was covered. It is a story that takes place with the assignment of a die-hard Fenerbahçe fan teacher to the village of Yeşilalan in Çaykara, Trabzon. The adventures that happen there. We are also excited. It turned out to be very beautiful and enjoyable. I think everyone who watches it will like it."

'NOT A WAR, BUT A GENOCIDE'

Stating that they were saddened by the current state of the world despite the press screening of the comedy film, actor Kemal Uçar said, "One part of the world is burning our hearts, and we are trying to do our jobs on the other hand. We are in doubt about this. When we talk among ourselves, I say the same sentence: unfortunately, what is happening in one part of the world right now is not just a war, but a genocide that one country is trying to inflict upon another. I hope that at least these gatherings of ours, our meetings for the film, will help us make our voices heard by others in this sense."
