The 2016 film "Rüya," directed by Derviş Zaim, was screened at the Eyüpsultan Municipality Culture and Arts Center.

Answering questions from film critic Suat Köçer following the screening, the successful director stated that the film began with the construction process of the Sancaktar Mosque, noting that the screenplay was shaped by observations and research conducted during the mosque's construction.

Stating that Anatolia possesses a powerful cultural richness that nourishes art in almost every respect, Zaim noted that he attaches importance to utilizing this richness in his films.

Derviş Zaim emphasized that he makes use of traditional Turkish arts in almost every one of his films, and also shared his evaluations on the story of the Seven Sleepers (Ashab-ı Kehf) and Islamic architecture, which are among the film's central themes.

Touching upon the relationship between urban architecture and nature, Zaim underscored that modern-day urban construction and architecture should prioritize the nature-human relationship.

The program, where Zaim also answered questions from the audience, concluded with the presentation of gifts to the guests by Eyüpsultan Municipality Culture Manager İrfan Çalışan.
