'Poor Things', which won the 'Best Motion Picture' award in the comedy or musical category at the Golden Globes and also earned Emma Stone the 'Best Actress' award, has been nominated for 11 Oscars.

The film by Yorgos Lanthimos, which will compete in major categories such as 'Best Picture', 'Best Director', 'Best Actress', and 'Best Supporting Actor', will meet cinema lovers on February 9.

POOR THINGS FILM PLOT

Adapted from Alasdair Gray's novel of the same name and touted as Lanthimos' best film by critics, 'Poor Things' tells the story of the fantastic transformation of Bella Baxter, who is brought back to life after her death by the successful scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter.

Described as a modern and original Frankenstein story, the film stars Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe, and Ramy Youssef.
