11 journalists killed in Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip

The Freedoms Committee of the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate has published a report regarding violations against media members and organizations during Israel's attacks.

The report states that 11 journalists have lost their lives, more than 20 media members have been injured, and 2 people are missing in the attacks carried out by Israel on the Gaza Strip.

ISRAEL COMMITTED VIOLATIONS

The report, which states that approximately 50 media institutions were destroyed in the attacks, also notes that Israel has committed numerous violations against media members in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.

Drawing attention to the sharp increase in the targeting of Palestinian journalists, the report states that the homes of approximately 20 journalists were targeted, with some being partially and others completely destroyed. The report recalls that in the attacks where journalists' homes were targeted, there were deaths and injuries among the families of the media members.

The report mentions that the targeted media institutions include the Al Jazeera office, Palestine TV, Al-Aqsa Media Network, Ma'an News Agency, Al-Quds newspaper, and several radio stations.

The report also documents that numerous Palestinian journalists were injured in the West Bank, and that media members were beaten, detained, prevented from reporting, fired upon, and had their press equipment confiscated and destroyed.

Pointing out that there has also been a blackout and broadcasting violation against media organizations, the report states that the broadcast of Al-Aqsa TV, which broadcasts from Gaza, was stopped via the Eutelsat satellite.
