According to the statement from the Governor's Office, teams from the Şanlıurfa Provincial Police Department launched an operation across the city with the aim of "ensuring public order and security, apprehending suspects, and seizing criminal elements."
As part of the efforts by the Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate, suspects who shared content featuring various weapons on social media platforms were identified.
19 suspects were detained in a simultaneous operation conducted at 28 addresses.
During searches of the suspects' residences, vehicles, and workplaces, 1 unlicensed pistol, 3 blank-firing pistols, 3 pump-action shotguns, 7 magazines belonging to these weapons, 62 cartridges, and 9 rounds of ammunition were seized.
