5 suspects detained in the death of Özlem Gültekin Çelik: High dose of propofol administered

As part of the investigation launched into the death of Özlem Gültekin Çelik under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling and Narcotics Crimes Investigation Bureau, an autopsy was performed to determine the exact cause of death of the deceased.

Following the autopsy, which determined that Çelik died as a result of the administration of a high dose of propofol, the investigation was expanded.

Detention warrants issued for 5 suspects

As a result of secret witness testimonies obtained during the investigation and examinations conducted on mobile phones, detention warrants were issued for Ç.K., F.A., H.Ç., H.Y., and P.Ç., who were determined to have provided the substances that caused Çelik's death on the day of the incident.

Operation conducted in İzmir

In line with the instructions of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out by teams from the İzmir Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch.

During the operation, all 5 suspects for whom detention warrants had been issued were apprehended and taken into custody.

It was reported that the investigation is being conducted meticulously and in all its aspects.
