6 students arrested in Boğaziçi University protests

Six of the 15 suspects detained for allegedly attacking police while protesting a conference at Boğaziçi University where Nurettin Yıldız was a speaker have been arrested by the duty court, while nine suspects were released under judicial control.

The 15 suspects, who were alleged to have attacked police while attempting to protest Nurettin Yıldız, who participated as a speaker in the conference titled 'Islamic Sciences: For Whom, How Much?' organized by the Boğaziçi University Islamic Research Club (BİSAK), were detained and, after their statements were taken, were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.

The suspects, whose statements were taken at the prosecutor's office, were referred to the Duty Criminal Court of Peace with a request for 'arrest'. Six of the 15 suspects whose questioning was completed at the Criminal Court of Peace were arrested. Nine suspects, who were issued a travel ban, were released under judicial control.
