Health teams were mobilized after students fell ill at different educational institutions in Burdur, Kırklareli, and Edirne on the same day. A total of 86 students across the three provinces were taken to hospitals due to suspected poisoning and exposure to chemical gas.
In Burdur, some students staying at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Safahat KYK Girls' Dormitory reported symptoms of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain in the evening. The Burdur Governor's Office reported that 52 people had presented to the Burdur State Hospital emergency department, and 30 students had been discharged after completing their treatment.

The Governor's Office statement noted that some students were admitted to the ward as a precaution and that the monitoring of some others is ongoing. It was recorded that the general condition of the students is good, and samples were taken from the food and drinking water at the dormitory for microbiological analysis.
At the Büyükkarıştıran Anatolian High School in the Büyükkarıştıran town of Kırklareli's Lüleburgaz district, approximately 20 students fell ill after eating chicken doner for lunch. It was reported that the treatment of the students taken to the hospital is continuing and that Lüleburgaz District Director of National Education Cihan Erdem also received information at the hospital regarding the students' health status.

At the Atatürk Middle School in the Uzunköprü district of Edirne, a non-food-related incident occurred. 14 students affected by chemical gas resulting from the mixing of cleaning supplies at the school were taken to the hospital by health teams for observation.
Parents have requested a detailed investigation, particularly into the cases suspected to be food-related. Relevant institutions are expected to clarify the process regarding the cause of the incidents through examinations and sample analyses.
