Five suspects have been detained in connection with the death of a woman who was shot and killed with a hunting rifle in the Dereli district of Giresun.

According to allegations, pellets from a hunting rifle that D.Y. (31) was attempting to put away in Meşeliyatak village last night struck her sister, Fatma T. (26).

Upon notification, gendarmerie and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the area.

5 PEOPLE IN CUSTODY

The body of the woman, who was determined to have lost her life at the scene, was taken to the Dereli State Hospital morgue.

As part of the investigation conducted by the gendarmerie teams, D.Y., İ.B., H.T., N.T., and H.T. were detained. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
