Abuse suspect taken for medical check-up killed in armed attack in front of hospital in Viranşehir

In the Viranşehir district of Şanlıurfa, Metin Albayrak, who was reportedly detained on charges of sexual abuse, was subjected to an armed attack in front of the hospital where he was taken for a medical check-up. Albayrak, who was critically injured, lost his life at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.

The incident occurred yesterday evening in front of the Viranşehir State Hospital Emergency Department. According to allegations, F.A., the father of the girl identified as the victim, and his brother I.A. opened fire with a handgun on Albayrak, who was being brought in for a medical check-up.

In addition to Albayrak, who was struck by the bullets, Ayşe E., who had come to the hospital for an examination, was also critically injured. It was learned that Ayşe E.'s treatment at the hospital is ongoing.

F.A. and his son I.A., who fled the scene after the attack, were apprehended and taken into custody by gendarmerie teams. The two suspects, who were referred to the courthouse after their procedures, were arrested by the duty magistrate.
