Accounts blocked in Furkan Foundation investigation identified

In the investigation conducted into the Furkan Foundation, an access ban has been issued for numerous social media accounts and websites stated to be linked to the foundation.

According to EngelliWeb, a project by the Freedom of Expression Association (İFÖD), the decision was issued by the Adana 6th Criminal Court of Peace on August 19, 2026. In the decision numbered 2026/10173, the justification for the access ban was cited as the "protection of national security and public order."

It was reported that within the scope of the decision, the accounts of Alparslan Kuytul, the founder of the Furkan Foundation movement, and his wife Semra Kuytul, as well as X accounts belonging to various branches, platforms, and individuals associated with the movement, were blocked from access.

As part of the investigation, Alparslan Kuytul, Semra Kuytul, and numerous foundation members had previously been detained in an operation conducted in Adana.
