AKP deputy Hüseyin Altınsoy, whose wife obtained a 'certificate of poverty', breaks his silence: He reacts to CHP
AKP Aksaray Deputy Hüseyin Altınsoy has apologized to the public following reports that his wife obtained a 'certificate of poverty' from a neighborhood headman (muhtar) to avoid paying court costs in an inheritance lawsuit. In his apology statement, Altınsoy reacted to the CHP.
The issue was first brought to the public agenda by CHP Ankara Deputy Umut Akdoğan, who announced that the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation into the person who issued the document and the deputy's wife.
Following the developments, AKP Aksaray Deputy Hüseyin Altınsoy made a statement via social media, announcing that he apologized to the public:
"I would like to clearly express that I feel deep regret for being brought to the public agenda in this manner, even if for political reasons, and that I apologize to the public."
Altınsoy also argued that the issue was being exploited by CHP members: "I would like to state that I am also saddened by the fact that this issue, which I have no knowledge or involvement in, is being voiced in this way by CHP members through exploitation."
"IT IS NOT POSSIBLE FOR US TO ACCEPT IT CONSCIENTIOUSLY"
Altınsoy wrote the following regarding the matter:
"The lawsuit mentioned in the public eye is a title deed cancellation and registration lawsuit filed by my wife and her three sisters against their brother due to inheritance collusion. Since the economic situation of my wife's sisters is weak, they applied to the court to benefit from legal aid. As it is a joint lawsuit, the case was filed in August 2025 with the partnership of the 4 sisters.
It is not possible for either my wife or me to accept legal aid, both legally and conscientiously. In accordance with the court's interim decision during the judicial process, the court fee will be completed within the given period (September 2026) and the legal process will continue.
I would like to clearly express that I feel deep regret for being brought to the public agenda in this manner, even if for political reasons, and that I apologize to the public. I would like to state that I am also saddened by the fact that this issue is being exploited by CHP members and that a matter I have no knowledge or involvement in is being voiced in this way.
I would be pleased if the CHP ensured this sensitivity within itself as well. I remind them to follow the legal processes continuing in provinces such as Uşak, Istanbul, and Antalya with these sensitivities, and I present this to the public with my respects."
