AKP-run municipality denies permit for Manifest concert! First statement from the group
The AKP-run Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality has denied permission for the band Manifest's concert, citing that their stage outfits were 'not found appropriate'.
The popular pop music group Manifest has encountered an unexpected obstacle ahead of their Turkey tour.
According to information shared by journalist Timur Soykan, the AKP-run Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality has canceled the group's concert. The reason given for the cancellation was that their stage outfits were "not found appropriate."
Speaking on the program "Onlar" broadcast on YouTube, Soykan explained that the organizers had applied to hold the concert at the Erzurum Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Fair Center, but the municipality rejected the application on the grounds that the stage costumes were not deemed appropriate.
Manifest and their production company, Hypers, did not deny the allegations. The group shared a message on their X account, stating, "Manifest listeners in Erzurum, we love you."
