Massive compensation claim against Acun Ilıcalı

Stavros Floros, a 22-year-old contestant on the 13th season of Survivor Greece, has launched a legal battle following a maritime accident during filming. While spearfishing in open waters in the Dominican Republic, the young contestant lost his leg after being struck by the propeller of a tourist boat. Following the incident, Floros applied to the court, claiming that the program's producers failed to take sufficient safety precautions.

In the lawsuit filed by Floros, it was alleged that, due to the program's format, contestants were forced to fish in waters frequently used by tourist boats. According to Floros, this situation put both his life and the lives of other contestants at serious risk.

In the documents submitted to the court by the contestant, it was claimed that similar accidents had occurred in the same region previously and that some were near misses. Floros stated that there was a lack of safety boats, supervisors, designated protected areas, and necessary warning signs during the filming. Arguing that these deficiencies made it impossible to prevent such a severe accident, Floros is seeking 100 million dollars in compensation, claiming that "necessary safety measures were not taken."
