AKP's Şamil Tayyar reacts to Ufuk Uras's involvement with the People's Alliance: 'He is giving information as if he were a government spokesperson'

Ufuk Uras, one of the founders of the Freedom and Solidarity Party (ÖDP), the day before yesterday MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçelipaid a visit to.

In an interview with T24, Uras MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli and AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a striking detail regarding the claims of disagreement between them.

Accordingly, it emerged that at the beginning of last month, Erdoğan approached Bahçeli regarding the resolution process with the proposal to "solve this issue ourselves without involving others." It was revealed that he went with this proposal.

Uras's meeting with Bahçeli and his subsequent statements drew a reaction from former AKP MP Şamil Tayyar.

"HE IS GIVING INFORMATION AS IF HE WERE A GOVERNMENT SPOKESPERSON"

Targeting Uras by saying, 'He is giving information as if he were a government spokesperson,' Tayyar stated, 'Naturally, when he speaks after meeting with Mr. Devlet, these statements are taken seriously.'

'THE PEOPLE'S ALLIANCE HAS A DUTY TO INFORM'

Continuing his post, Tayyar issued a call to the People's Alliance, 'I believe the People's Alliance has a duty to provide solid information to the public' he said.

Tayyar's post is as follows:

'Ufuk Uras became the center of media attention after meeting with MHP leader Bahçeli. He is enjoying it, too. He is giving information as if he were a government spokesperson. He says a partial amnesty might be issued, there might be an amendment regarding the mother tongue in the Constitution, and so on. Naturally, when he speaks after meeting with Mr. Devlet, these statements are taken seriously.

When I speak with AK Party officials, they say 'there is no such thing,' but since they are not very aware of the content of the agreement between the two leaders, the validity of their denials is also debatable.'

Unfortunately, because the public has not been informed about the process that began with Bahçeli's Öcalan remarks, everyone is trying to find their way by trial and error. In this mental confusion, high-pitched rhetoric such as 'we are in full agreement' or 'troublemakers cannot break us apart' does not provide a remedy.

In short, I believe the People's Alliance owes the public a solid explanation. Otherwise, third parties will continue to muddy the waters and bring relevant or irrelevant claims to the agenda.

Unfortunately, in such situations, perceptions take precedence over facts. A lie can travel across the entire 780,000 square kilometers of the homeland before the truth can even put on its shoes."
